Best PhD thesis award editions 2024 and 2025 announced

The ESCM is happy to announce that applications are open for the 2024 and 2025 editions of the ESCM Best PhD Thesis Award!

Dates 

• Applications for both editions should reach us by 31 January 2026 (23:59 CEST).
• The outcome will be communicated to the candidates by 30 April 2026.
• The awards will be delivered during the 22nd European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM22), to be held in Oslo (Norway), from 21-25 June 2026.

Eligibility

• PhD graduates who officially defended a thesis in 2024 for the 2024 edition or 2025 for the 2025 edition.
• The research must be related to composite materials and have been conducted within an institution located in Europe.
• A nomination from the PhD supervisor is required, and a supervisor may nominate only one candidate per edition.
