About the conference

The first European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM) was held in Bordeaux in September 1985. Since then, 21 conferences have been organised and ECCM has become one of the most important events dedicated to composite materials for academia and industry. Organised biannually under the patronage of the ESCM, it attracts more than 1000 participants from all over the world.

Most recent ECCM

The last occurrence, ECCM21 in Nantes, saw the presentation of more than 850 papers covering topics such as fracture and damage, multiscale modeling, durability, aging, process modeling, simulation, additive manufacturing, bio-sourced composites, material recycling and reuse of parts, and environmental impacts.
